Head of Cellar and Quality
Katie came to Switzerland from the USA for science, but is staying for the beer.
After finishing a PhD at ETH Zurich and a post-doc in the pharmaceutical industry, this Minnesotan took a year to learn the ins-and-outs of a small Swiss craft brewery in Rapperswil, fell in love (with beer production), and eventually took over as head brewer.
Looking to expand her experience and knowledge in the industry, Katie moved to Manchester, England to work as Cloudwater Brew Co.'s quality manager. She's excited to be back in Switzerland working alongside Chris where she keeps an eye on the cellar and quality of our products. With her technical training and scientific expertise, Katie definitely approaches beer with a nerdy attitude and is always looking to learn more.
