BRO Spritz
The Valais Aperitif You Didn't See Coming
Some pairings just work from the very first sip.
On one side, there's BRO Swiss Grape Sour, a beer brewed by WhiteFrontier with Petite Arvine grape must sourced from Valais vineyards. Bright, crisp and refreshing, it offers delicate notes of white grapes and citrus.
On the other, the fruity character and subtle bitterness of Morand Spritz Syrup.
Together, they create an aperitif that is simple, refreshing and incredibly easy to enjoy.
No special occasion required. A sunny terrace, a few friends around the table, or simply the desire to try something different from the classic spritz. The BRO Spritz brings something new to the glass. Lighter, more local, and infused with a distinctly Valaisan identity.
And best of all, it's almost too easy to make.
The BRO Spritz Recipe
1 can of BRO (44 cl) = 2 Spritz
For 2 glasses
• 2 cl Morand Spritz Syrup
• 220 ml BRO Swiss Grape Sour by WhiteFrontier
• 4 to 6 large ice cubes
• Half an orange slice
Preparation
Fill a large glass with 4 to 6 large ice cubes.
Pour in 2 cl of Morand Spritz Syrup, then gently add 220 ml of BRO Swiss Grape Sour to preserve its freshness and lively carbonation.
Finish with half an orange slice.
That's it.
The first aromas bring citrus notes to the forefront, followed by hints of white grapes and the delicate acidity that defines BRO's character.
A simple recipe, yet full of personality.
Because, at the end of the day, the best aperitifs are often the ones that don't overcomplicate things.
Morand: A Story of Valais Beverages
For more than 130 years, Morand Distillery has been part of the Valais landscape. Known for its syrups, fruit brandies and its iconic Williamine, the Martigny based company shares the same passion as WhiteFrontier: transforming the treasures of our region into drinks full of character.
Morand syrups have accompanied several generations of Valaisans and have become much more than a simple product. They are part of childhood memories, family aperitifs and the moments of togetherness that shape local life.
Behind every bottle lies expertise, a commitment to quality and a deep understanding of raw ingredients. Values that strongly resonate with the way we brew beer at WhiteFrontier.
WhiteFrontier & Morand: Neighbours with Shared Values
Beyond this collaboration around the BRO Spritz, WhiteFrontier and Morand have enjoyed a close relationship for many years.
We are two beverage producers based in Martigny, two companies driven by a shared passion for flavour, fermentation and innovation. Our teams know each other well, regularly visit one another's facilities and often exchange ideas and production techniques.
We also use several Morand syrups in recipes and cocktails at the WhiteFrontier Taproom, while frequently recommending their products to visitors discovering our brewery.
We share another important commitment: promoting our region. Whether through supporting events, artists, athletes or local personalities, we both believe in investing in the economic, cultural and community life of Valais.
This connection has naturally led to the development of shared experiences. For several years, visitors have been able to discover both Morand Distillery and WhiteFrontier Brewery during the same outing in Martigny, exploring two distinct yet complementary worlds of beverage making.
Guests can dive into the secrets of distillation and brewing before tasting the products that have built the reputation of both houses.
In many ways, the BRO Spritz perfectly reflects what we enjoy most: building bridges between local expertise to create something original, delicious and unmistakably Valaisan.
