At WhiteFrontier, some beers go beyond the product itself.
Sans Frontières is one of them.
This beer was created in collaboration with FOVAHM, a foundation we have been working with for several years, notably through the packaging of our discovery packs.
Over time, one idea naturally emerged: why not create a beer together?
What began as a simple conversation gradually evolved into a shared project, bringing together people from different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives around a common goal.
Because beer is not only about ingredients, recipes and brewing techniques.
It is also about people.
About encounters, collaboration and the stories we create together.
And that's exactly what Sans Frontières represents.
We wanted to create a beer that was approachable, fruity and enjoyable for everyone. A beer that reflects our region. Valais. Its landscapes. Its identity.
That's how the idea of using fir needles was born.
With the help of La Boîte Sauvage, we found the perfect gathering spot in the hills above Charat. More importantly, we decided to make it a shared experience.
Around fifteen people came together for an entire day of harvesting, spending time outdoors, exchanging stories and collecting the ingredients that would eventually become part of the beer.

Le résultat? 10 kilos d’aiguilles de sapin blanc.
Mais surtout, une journée riche en échanges, en rires et en moments partagés. Un moment simple, mais essentiel.
This adventure brought together participants from Atelier Vert Le Ginkgo: Gérald Roten, Thaïs Proton, Roy Landry and Galyam Compaoré, alongside José De Oliveira from Atelier Viticole, accompanied by Nicolas Toffol, Centre Manager, and Stéphane Chatriant, Social and Professional Support Worker (MSP).
But the adventure didn't stop there.
The participants also visited the brewery to discover the world of WhiteFrontier from the inside. They toured our facilities, tasted the beer before its official release and gained a better understanding of every step involved in its creation.
Because this beer was meant to be experienced just as much as it was meant to be brewed.
And the story continues today.
Some of the participants will also take part in packing the beers, giving this project an even more collaborative and tangible dimension.
From harvesting the ingredients to preparing the final product, Sans Frontières has become a true collective journey.

These fir needles were then incorporated into a Hazy Pale Ale brewed with hops from Crosby Hop Farm.
The beer's aromatic profile is built around a carefully selected combination of hops supplied by Crosby Hop Farm, a family owned company renowned for the quality of its hop cultivation and its commitment to the craft brewing community. Crosby develops its varieties with a strong focus on freshness, traceability and aromatic expression.
Chinook provides a structured, resinous backbone with notes of pine and citrus. Comet complements it with a brighter, zestier and slightly wild character. The addition of Chinook CGX further enhances the aroma thanks to its high concentration of essential oils, delivering both intensity and precision.
Beyond the technical aspects, Crosby played an active role in the project by supporting this collaboration, making it possible to contribute financially to FOVAHM.
On the palate, the beer is fresh, light and highly drinkable, offering vibrant citrus notes balanced by a subtle resinous character.
A perfect summer beer. Easy to enjoy, yet full of personality.

And because this project is, above all, a collaboration, it was only natural that the label should be as well.
It was created by Christian Raboud, an artist from the foundation. A colourful, vibrant and summery artwork, full of life and perfectly aligned with the spirit of the beer.
More than just a label, it is an integral part of the project itself. A visual expression of the people, encounters and shared experiences that brought Sans Frontières to life.

Sans Frontières.
A name that says it all.
No barriers between people.
No limits to creativity.
Just a shared desire to build something together.
A beer born from collaboration, shaped by meaningful encounters and driven by the belief that the best projects are the ones we create side by side.
