Well, we've never said it here, but it's true that the Whitefrontier team isn't really a fan of typical “Christmas” beers. We often find them too sweet, a little nauseating and far from our style. But when Blaise came up with his crazy Christmas EP project, we were inspired! His EP is “Blaise chiante Noël”: festive-inspired music, but tinged with humor to make this sometimes repetitive period a little more fun.
The idea? To create a Christmas beer that doesn't taste like Christmas at all... but does have the visual codes! To achieve this, we imagined an aromatic New England Pale Ale, with exotic flavors provided by Sabro, Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo hops, and Lallemand's brand-new Pomona yeast. The result? A lively, full-flavored beer, with notes of coconut and pineapple. We thought it would make a perfect Christmas in the tropics! 🌴🎅 For the label, we put Blaise en Slip in an island bauble. Why would we do that? We don't know ourselves. Hihi.
