Two medals at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2025 for WhiteFrontier 🍻
1. What exactly is the Brussels Beer Challenge?
The Brussels Beer Challenge is one of the most serious and respected beer competitions in the world. Every year, it brings together an international jury of professionals, including master brewers, beer sommeliers, specialist journalists, and sensory experts. Over three days, they blind taste more than 1,800 beers in dozens of categories. The aim is to evaluate the quality, technical mastery, stylistic consistency, and unique character of each beer. It is a demanding competition, where the slightest nuance counts: texture, balance, aromatic intensity, hop quality, head retention, finish... nothing escapes the judges' attention. Suffice to say that winning a medal is already an achievement in itself. And this year, no other Swiss brewery was awarded a medal. The result? WhiteFrontier walked away with two medals. And that's very pleasing.
2. Copenhagen’s Calling – Silver Medal 🥈
Category: Pale & Amber Ale – New England IPA Medal: Silver Copenhagen’s Calling is a smooth, fruity, and silky Hazy IPA, born from a triple collaboration between WhiteFrontier, Aben (Copenhagen), and Verbier Tourism. It accompanies a cultural project linking the Valais Alps to Scandinavia, and echoes “Verbier’s Calling”, brewed at Aben. The beer has an alcohol content of 6%, a nod to the six degrees of latitude that separate Verbier/Martigny from Copenhagen.
Here is its profile :
Smooth attack, silky texture,
Juicy aromas of white grapes, lime, yellow fruits, and melon,
A mild bitterness and a very refreshing finish.
This is an IPA that exudes modernity, openness and Scandinavian smoothness blended with alpine roundness. The silver medal recognizes the precision work on the malts (barley, wheat, oats), a careful selection of hops (Krush, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Motueka, Motueka SubZero) and a masterful aromatic balance.
3. Rule Number 2 – Non Si Dice – Bronze Medal 🥉Category: Specialty Beer (Less than 7% ABV)Medal: BronzeRule Number 2 – Non Si Dice is our second Raw NEIPA: a beer brewed without boiling, a rare and ambitious technique that preserves all the freshness of the hops. A bold move... but one we've totally mastered. Its profile :
Juicy and smooth, with an almost velvety texture, a fruity, intense and thirst-quenching finish, and explosive aromas of passion fruit, ripe mango and citrus.
Hops: Galaxy, Galaxy Spectrum, Citra & Citra Cryo, a combination designed for aromatic intensity.
The jury awarded it bronze for its complexity, precision, and stylistic originality.
4. Why is it important for us to participate? The Brussels Beer
Challenge is a global benchmark. Participating means: competing against the best international breweries, having our work judged by a jury renowned for its high standards, validating the quality of our beers in a neutral and professional setting, learning, progressing, and staying in line with international craft standards. Receiving two medals is a source of pride for the whole team: from those who brew, to those who set up collaborations, to those who tell our stories in bars, shops, and events. Above all, it is a wonderful recognition of the care we put into every brew: the creativity, technique, precision, and curiosity that define our approach to beer making. 👉 Two beers. Two medals. Only one Swiss brewery on the podium. And that's WhiteFrontier. Come to the Taproom to taste our award-winning beers while they last. 🍻
