Copenhagen's calling

Copenhagen's calling

Copenhagen’s Calling: a beer on the move
Copenhagen’s Calling is the name of our new Hazy IPA for autumn 2025 – a beer that connects, brings people together, and delights both Scandinavia and our Alps.

This collab is more than just a beer: it’s a brewing bridge between Martigny, Verbier, and Copenhagen. It tells the story of a desire to discover, to exchange, and to create together beyond borders.

Its aromatic profile is designed to appeal both to lovers of modern IPAs and to the curious eager for something new.

This collaboration didn’t come out of nowhere: it’s part of an event organized by Verbier Tourisme in Copenhagen, aiming to strengthen the friendship between our two regions.

With Copenhagen’s Calling, we celebrate this unique bond between Verbier and Scandinavia: two different territories, yet driven by the same desire to share, to vibe, and to gather around authentic moments.

Even the label and the beer’s name were created with this in mind: they reflect this dialogue between mountains and fjords, between Martigny and Copenhagen.

And to push the nod even further, the beer clocks in at 6% ABV – echoing the 6 degrees of latitude that separate Verbier/Martigny from the Danish capital.

Available from August 29th, 2025, Copenhagen’s Calling will be on tap at the WhiteFrontier taproom, as well as with our partners. And of course, you’ll also be able to find its twin brewed in Copenhagen – to compare and enjoy the subtle differences born from each terroir.

Not 1, not 2, but 3 partners. But what exactly is a triple collab?

The craft world is, above all, about encounters. For Copenhagen’s Calling, we decided to take the concept even further: a triple collaboration.

But concretely, what does that mean?
It means that instead of a classic partnership between two breweries, we brought together three universes around the same idea. Three skills, three visions, three ways of telling a story… all meeting in a single recipe.

And this is how Verbier, ÅBEN, and Whitefrontier come together in the same project.

But that’s not all!
A two-way collab

With our friends from ÅBEN in Copenhagen and Verbier, we chose to brew the same beer on both sides of Europe.

The first brew took place here, at WhiteFrontier in Martigny. ÅBEN joined via video call to co-create the recipe and follow the brewing steps together. This collaboration gave birth to: Copenhagen’s Calling.

The second brew will take place in September, in Copenhagen, inside ÅBEN’s tanks. Our brewmaster will travel to Scandinavia to brew the twin sister of the beer we’re offering you. That one will directly echo its counterpart: Verbier’s Calling.

The idea is to share a common experience: the same recipe, the same DNA, but shaped by the water, the place, the energy of the teams, and the atmosphere of each brewery.

Who is ÅBEN?

Born in Copenhagen, ÅBEN is a craft brewery that quickly established itself as one of the most creative and innovative names on the Scandinavian scene.

Their approach: breaking the rules, exploring new styles, and always highlighting the conviviality that lies at the heart of craft.

The name ÅBEN means “open” in Danish. And that’s no coincidence: open to ideas, to encounters, to new taste experiences. Their Copenhagen taproom has become a must-visit spot for lovers of modern beers, with sharp recipes, explosive hops, and boundless curiosity.

With them, we share the same philosophy: dare, experiment, and always keep people at the center of our projects.

And what about Verbier? What’s this event all about?

Verbier Tourisme continues its original, off-the-beaten-path initiatives. After London and Brussels, it’s now Copenhagen’s turn to welcome the colors of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes.

From September 25th to 27th (yes, sorry – it’s at the same time as our Biergarten at the Foire du Valais), Verbier Tourisme and its partners will head to the heart of Nyhavn, the iconic district of the Danish capital, to present a unique concept.

To make sure Verbier still feels like Verbier, even in Copenhagen, the renowned ski resort has gone all out and teamed up this year with our partner, the PALP Festival, to take one of their legendary Rocklette events abroad.

The concept? Rock music and raclette! And because they (and we) love doing things differently, it will all take place aboard the Bjørnsholm boat.

A rich and varied program will allow the Verbier Tourisme team and its partners to welcome media representatives and professionals. They’ll cast off, fire up the raclette ovens and the amps, for a ride through the city’s canals that promises to be full of rhythm.

What’s on the program there?

The official evening will launch the event, in the presence of Verbier Tourisme, representatives of the Commune of Val de Bagnes, and the destination’s partners.

Intended for second-home residents and the media, this first evening will be an opportunity to exchange on various topics related to life in the Valaisan commune, as well as to share a convivial moment around a Bagnes raclette. The festive atmosphere will be ensured by the legendary Rocklette, with two Swiss and Danish bands on the lineup!

Throughout the entire event, the twin beer of our Copenhagen’s Calling – Verbier’s Calling – will be offered to guests.
